Paxil

Find out if you have a PaxilŽ legal claim

What is Paxil®?

Paxil® is an antidepressant medication
primarily used to treat anxiety disorders and symptoms of depression. It is a member of the SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) family of drugs that also includes Zoloft® and Prozac®.

Why is
Paxil® dangerous?

In a public health advisory by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on December 8, 2005,
women taking Paxil® during their first trimester of pregnancy were susceptible to increased risk of birth defects. Recent completed and preliminary studies show these women were nearly two times more likely to give birth to a child with a birth defect, in particular a heart defect or congenital malformation. As a result of these studies, the pregnancy category for Paxil® has been changed from C to D.

Do you believe your child or a loved one was born with a heart defect caused by Paxil®? Goldberg & Osborne can help.

If your child or a loved one was born with a heart defect as the result of taking Paxil
® during the first trimester of pregnancy, you may be entitled to compensation for your child or loved one's injuries. Some states have time limits in which cases must be filed or they will be invalid forever so it is crucial you contact an experienced personal injury lawyer immediately.

The law firm of Goldberg & Osborne is dedicated to helping injured people nationwide and is currently accepting cases for Paxil® victims.
